Lost revenue due to their interface

A sale was accepted for a credit card sale and for some reason ended up (maybe user error) in "Cash" we do not have a Square register / credit card only transaction. They say that they get to cc numbers in the "Cash Bucket". They can tell me what device did the transaction but we lose... this is a weakness in their system and we are out of luck! REALLY?
