Credit Card Scam
Complaint
mary ann gaston
Country: United States
I receied an email to "undisclosed-recipients" from "milesandsmiles" milesandsmiles@thy.com Subject: Changes to your itinerary.
The messege said my credit card had been charged for $354.62. and the Booking number: JTF4L3.
I called the Airline on the USA number and told them they should investigate and stop the scam. (So far my account has not been charged) They told me I had Email customer service or call internationl to Turkey. I asked him to please forward the information to his corporate office. He was not authorized to do anything but make reservation and his manager was not present.
Any ideas of who to contact to stop this from causing any further concerns?

They probably send out millions of similar emails, implying a phony credit card charge, with some link to a phony website to "correct" the problem. The website would normally be set up to ask for your credit card information ("to verify your identity" or some such excuse), which they would then use to run up fraudulent charges, or they might sell the information to others so they could make fraudulent charges.
Your safest action is to ignore all such emails.
If any fraudulent charge does show up on your credit card, immediately contact your bank to dispute it as fraudulent and block the card number.
If the email includes any information to indicate they already have some of your card information, such as possibly part of your card number, then immediately call your bank to block the card and get a new card issued.
