Simmons Verona Beauty Rest

I purchased a Simmons Verona FIRM mattress in May of 2011 from a Macy's store in Westland Michigan. I needed a firm mattress for my back issues and the sales person told me that the model in my price range was the Verona. As soon as the mattress was delivered(delivery men still at my home) I sat on the mattress and it was NOT the same as what I felt in the store. IT SUNK when I sat on it and the one in the store DID NOT. I immediately called the customer service department and told them it wasn't the same mattress, but she told me I had to wait some "ADJUSTMENT" period like 90 days.
I called back 2 weeks later and filed another complaint because the bed was very, very uncomfortable, and again was told I was calling before the waiting/adjustment period was over. It NEVER felt like it was a firm mattress. So I waited and ended up calling about a week AFTER the adjustment period and was told I couldn't return it because I was outside of the waiting period. The customer service rep read the notes after I told her I had been trying to return it since the first day it was delivered. She got on the line again after speaking to her supervisor and they agreed to let me return it IF I GIVE THEM THE FULL PRICE OF THE MATTRESS, PLUS a $70.00 RESTOCKING FEE AND DELIVERY CHARGE until the swap was done!!!! I live on a fixed income and was not able to do that so now I am stuck with this lousy mattress.
It might have a label saying it's a Simmons Beauty Rest but it is an AWFUL mattress. I've got photos of the lumps in it after I get up every morning. Last night was the worst and I am actually thinking of sleeping on the floor for a good nights sleep. My back aches terribly and I can tell my spine is being misaligned each night. I have a stain on it now(it's Aug 2012) and after reading other complaints on this forum, I am sure Macy's will say their 10 year warranty is not any good because I have a stain on it(glad I didn't purchase the warranty for stains because another customer on this forum did and it was a waste of money(Macy's denied their claim too).
It's obvious (by reading other complaints on this forum about Macy's) that Macy's is using low cost goods to make these mattresses so they can boost their profits..(I feel for the people who bought the $2000 models). They put the really good ones on display at the showroom, making you think that is what you are buying, but what you get delivered to your home is a cheap mattress with the label of a good one sewn on it.
Once you sleep on a bad mattress when you can't afford better and then you get some money and you buy what you THINK is a good mattress - you know a bad mattress when you sleep on one- and what I bought from Macy's IS A BAD MATTRESS. I think there should be a class action suit filed against Macy's for deceptive return policies and selling DEFECTIVE goods to honest consumers. MACY'S IS A GREEDY RETAILER WHO HAS SOLD MANY BAD MATTRESSES.
