No REFUND given despite 7 days advance cancellation through Bookings.Com

I had booked 7 days earlier through Bookings.Com for 2 nights with morning breakfast for £140.00 in total.Unfortunately i had to cancel the bookings in advance of 7 days.I had an email from Bookings.Com that my booking has been cancelled and it was a big relief.When checking with bank on line i found the company has already taken £140.00 from my account.Iam dissatisfied  and raised questions with Bookings.Com to refund.

    So Booking.Com on phone told me that even they have cancelled my bookings the company still charges.It is money pinching and I will never use.COM bookers.It's a waste of time and I hope government step's in to make cancellation policies in FAVOUR OF CONSUMERS.
