Bought this mattress 2.5 years ago.  It was rated as an extra-firm.  We noticed it sagging after less than a year.....and it seemed to get progressively worse.  But, it was new, and so we thought maybe it was a normal break in. Then, I started to have back problems and started going to the Chiropractor.  By random chance in the past two months, I started sleeping on my old mattress in the guest room to be in a room closer to our infant and voila!  my back pain went away.  Bottom line, not a good product at all.  I will be trying to get my money back.  Wish me luck.

We didn't have the Spring Air King mattress long before it started sagging on both sides
and was high in the middle. We got it at Penney''s. I'd never buy another Spring Air or
    another mattress from Penney's.

    R&D
We purchased a Spring Air mattress with a 10 yr warranty from JC Penney's.  Our mattress began to sag in the middle.  We promptly contacted JCP and they scheduled a technician to come out and look at the mattress.  The technician arrived, looked at the mattress, measured, took photos and determined our mattress was a factory defect.  He said he would write this up in a report and we would be contacted in 10-15 days.  Well,  2 days later we were contacted by JCP with the official report (which by the way JCP would not release a copy to us).  The report stated we should have another slat underneath the box springs for better support.  We currently have two 1 x 12's supporting our box springs and mattress.  There was never any mention of the mattress being defective in the report.  We were advised to put another slat for better support and perhaps a center rod for additional support.  The technician bold faced lied to us about the mattress being defective and what he put in the report.  So if you have a technician representing Spring Air named Coleman (like the lantern) tell JCP you do not want him to waste your time.

We will never purchase another Spring Air Mattress piece of junk again nor will I shop at JCP.  We are filing a report with the BBB and also contacting the Attorney General's office with this information.  Please look for a different mattress and stay away from Spring Air and their false warranty.
