Compressor needs replacing after 13 months of use.

Purchased side by side in January 2011. 1st service call was within 2 wks of purchase because unit wasn't cooling. Some adjustments were made to controls with a suggestion that we put ice cubes in our milk. One wonders if tech knew unit was no good. We've had to buy a dorm fridge to put my 81 year old husband's meds in. We are on fixed incomes and $1,000 so soon to replace this is out of the question. They don't honor their compressor warranty and had we known we would never have purchased Maytag.
