I just switched from dish to direct t.v. I thought everything was going ok and than I called direct t.v. to enquire about my billing and promotions I found that I did not have what I thought I had, so I tried to get what I thought I signed up for and talked to several people until finally I talked to a guy that told me that I could not get what I thought I had, so I asked about cancelling my service and going back to dish he said that there would be a $20.00 per-month cancellation fee, now I have only had dish for 2 weeks and have not even received my first bill yet, that means 24 months x $20.00 per-month = $480.00. Than he said that he would wave the cancellation fee if I wanted to cancel, so I told him that I would have to think about it. Well my wife & I continued to watch TV the rest of the evening & when I work up to go to work I had a e-mail from dish telling me that my service had been cancelled, so I called dish and the woman I talked to turned my service back on and apologized for the mix up and got my service turned back on, she told me that I still had all my promotional pricing, so I though that was ok. What I found out was that I now did not have my promotional pricing and was being charged at the full rate, how can that be I haven't even been billed for my first bill. So far I think direct T.V SUCKS & I have only been a customer for 2 weeks.
