I have been hounded by this number for at least two weeks! I finaly picked up to get off the calling list, i usually don't pick up nubers i don't recognize. this woman insisted for fifteen minutes that i won a 500 dollar gift card to walmart, and the only way to redeem it was to give my credit card number. i asked for a website where i could read terms and conditions she said she could give me the toll free number and webiste when i gave my card number! she said it was the only way to verify my identity. i was online and got enough info to find this blog and i read back the 1-877-...number to her she confirmed that was correct. she subsequently hung up on me when i told her there were 18 pages of complaints of a scam. So thank you all i'm sorry if they messed up your credit or lied to you.

This is a fraudulent telemarketing cramming scam, run from an overseas call center.

They aren't "in Phoenix Arizona".  They just say that, just like the lies about their "$500 gift card" or "free gas vouchers".  They are operating from a call center in India.

The "gift card" or the "vouchers" are basically worthless, if you even ever get them.  They are designed as an excuse to get your account information, and undisclosed "terms" make obtaining any value impossible.  In the mean time, they will start charging your account monthly, and ignore your attempts to "cancel".  That's their goal.

All their lies are aimed at conning consumers into disclosing account information so they can steal money under the pretense that you "agreed".

Should you find money taken from your account by these scammers, file a fraud dispute with your bank, and close the account or block the card number to prevent additional fraud.  Your bank can reverse disputed charges if you dispute promptly, under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.
