Damaged book

I was going to send payment for this cookbook (that I did not order) because I liked the content. However, the book arrived badly damaged. It looks like someone took a knife to the spine of the book, it is almost completely severed.  I'm unsure as to how to handle this problem. I'm not going to pay to send it back, but it isn't much good to me like it is. Help!
