Even though I may lose my home due to 9+% ARM and health issue + job loss, HSBC refuses to change to a fixed rate mortgage.

To ALL:
Please consider joining the following group to gain political attention on HSBC practices:
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/HSBC_mortgage_nightmare/

As a result we will be able:
* to drive-away potential customers from this dangerous institution,
* to convince citizens to support us through cutting their HSBC credit card
* to gain media coverage,
* to gain elected politicians support (especially in this electoral year),
* to have HSBC management listen to us and change our loans.
All together, we can.

    Do you even have any equity?

    If not, is there any reason not to walk?

    I hired a attorney who totally kicked them in the nuts.  I lost my job and went on disability and the attorney got them to follow the new modification guidelines that Pres Obama put out.  I got my 9.63% interest rate down to a permanent 2% and my payment down from $2200 to $1200 and they got 25k wiped off the balance, the past due I was behind (9 months!) moved to the back of my loan and I got a fresh start.  It was the best money I ever spent.
