Parts are discontinued after 8 years!

Spent over $5000 on a new KitchenAid built-in refrigerator 8 years ago. I now need a new control panel but they don't make the parts for it anymore. Have to buy a new refrigerator after 8 years, that's crazy! I called KitcheAid and they could care less, saying it's not under warranty. I realize that it's not under warranty but I should be able to get it repaired. I will NEVER buy KitchenAid again. I have other 8 year old KitchenAid appliances that have been worked on numerous times. Don't buy KitchenAid.
