Took money from my account without authorization after we cancelled their service.

We had been customers since 2005. I never liked there customer service but we liked the direct tv. We decided enough was enough when we moved this past Feb and cancelled our service. They mailed me a box to send back equipment which I did. Then at the end of Feb, they sent me a bill for over $400. I called them and told them we sent equipment back, they said when they recieved it I would get a final bill. It is the 13th, I still have not recieved a final bill and they tapped my credit card $85. I called them and some snot nose punk, told me they have the right to collect unpaid balance from whatever card they had on file. I didnt know this was legal!!!!! They basically told me "too bad so sad". I filed a BBB complaint and will be disputing it with my bank tomorrow. Direct TV is a bunch of crooks taking advantage of middle class honest people. I mean what person in their right mind would pay a bill with out seeing it first. This was gas money these dishonest crooks stole from me. I thought people should know.

    Maybe you should read the agreements you sign, DTV has the right to charge the card or account you put on file
