I received a card from this so-call Dealer regarding a second notice on a car.  I have never owned a car nor do I know how to drive.  When I called the this so call dealer a man pickup and became very Defenses and said I was trying to trick him into saying what car that I have.  I am going to call and get a copy of my credit, just to be sure that no one is using my information.  This is the activation number on the card that was sent to me (800) 581-1575

People!! PLEASE check your Credit Report

"Expired car warranty" scam.  File a complaint with U.S. Postal Inspector for mail fraud.

Don't waste your time worrying about your credit reports on this.
If you were going to check your reports anyway, via www.annualcreditreport.com for example, fine, but these people aren't scamming you thru information on your credit reports, nor does this information indicate someone is using your identity.

Their "second notice" card is to scare you into thinking your legitimate extended warranty was expiring (if you had one), and had to be renewed immediately by calling them.  That gives them the opportunity of talking you into revealing your account information, and the next thing you know, $1200 or more is gone from your checking account.  Lots of reports of them taking people this way, especially the elderly, with little to substantiate that they provide any "warranty".

They just send out a bunch of cards, or use telemarketing, and hope to scam some people into paying them.  They don't even know who owns cars, let alone how old those cars are, if they have warranties, or when they expire.

Sort of like the "Your magazine subscription is about to expire" scam played by some magazine "services", just played for more money.
