I have received many telemarketing calls from a company selling carpet cleaning.  They will not give their name or phone number on your message machine, only a recorded message.

Being home this evening 7/22/09 @ 6:16 PM, I answered the phone and received another call from this company.  They only leaves a pre-recorded message  stating, "if you are interested in cleaning your carpet, leave your name and phone number and someone will call you back".  I left an alternate name and my home phone number.  I received a call back on 7/22/09 @ approx. 6:40 PM.

I spoke to a woman who stated that her name was Daisy and obtained the following information:

Name of carpet cleaning company (so she said):  Liberty Carpet
Phone number:  (800) 880-2715
Location: Van Nuys, CA

I have received many messages on my answering machine over the past several months from this company (Identified by the same messages each time).

I have been a registered member of the Do Not Call Registry for several years.

I want something done about this company as they are trying to skirt the 'Do Not Call Registry' regulations.  They are annoying and intrusive!

They called at 8:47 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2011, with a recorded message.  I was to push 2 to continue the conversation, which I did.  I told them I was on "do not call" and that "I would be reporting them".  I attempted to find a call-back number to file a report, however, it was listed as "anonymous" no number given.

From viewing your site, many people throughout the U.S. (I'm in Illinois) have had the same complaint.  Is there a way to prevent this intrusion?  They call in the late hours of the evening when people are attempting to relax and recharge for the day ahead.  No one wants to be contacted by a "carpet cleaner" after 8:00 p.m. or ever, for that matter.  If you want someone to clean your carpet (which, by the way, we don't have, only hardwood) you would contact someone in your area and not deal with a "telemarketer" who calls you at about 9:00 p.m.on a Sunday.

We, too, would like something done about this company.  We could not say it any better than "Catherine", to quote:
