Shortest Working Washer Ever Owned

We have had three Maytag washers over the period of time we have owned our home- 37 years.  Our first two Maytag washers lasted thirty-two years.  We bought this washer in 2012.  I totally regret buying it and will never buy this Maytag product ever again, nor any other appliance made by Maytag or Whirlpool.  We got use to the total wash time being way to long.  It's longer than any we have ever experienced or heard of from friends and family.  But, at home you can go read a good book.  But, what happens after three years when the light display lights up like a Christmas tree, the lock locks and unlocks in a crazy manner.  The wash will not go through the cycles.  This evening my wife had to take the soaking wet clothes out of the washer and hand wring them before putting them in the dryer.  It would not spin the water out at all.  It would be nice if someone could indicate what component has malfunctioned.  It would be nice if a company would just forget computer sensors, etc and just make a simple washer.  This machine is junk.
