I tried to like your product

Just after Christmas of 2006 a friend of mine referred me to your 404 that was reasonably priced at a local Office Depot. My desire was to purchase a portable media storage device for my CD music collection. Having sold my friend a Play Station I had just happened across, I had the cash, so I purchased your product. Over the next two months I ripped my CDs and stored them to your device. I purchased not one but two of your DVR docking stations only to find out I would not be able to get a second device mounting ring anywhere.
I also purchased some cables for my truck to play music from your device on the road. Not too long after that I noticed the battery life was dwindling rather quickly. Within 4 months of the purchase of the 404 the battery life, for just playing music not video, through the earphone jack was less than 5 minutes.
At that point I frantically searched for my receipt to no avail. I contacted Office Depot at the store of purchase and their receipt tracking group several times with no response. After contacting your service department and paying for a battery replacement I got the product back.
While trying to synchronize the device to my PC, the operating system crashed twice to the point where the hard drive needed to be reformatted. I went to your website to check for a possible driver update only to find out that the latest driver, most likely installed by your service group, was not backward compatible. So now I couldn't even install an earlier version of the driver. During my third attempt to synchronize the 404 crashed.
Now the unit boots to display Archos' and the hard drive clicks away producing absolutely no results. I'd say I went a long way to try to like your product, but needless to say I am not at all impressed.
