This is PO AMERICA .....AKA .......PACIFICTEL
Caller id = YAHOO
Now they are falsifying the caller ID

Repeated, unabated calls, pretending to be survey and/or political call, in order to skirt the do-not-call laws.
Real purpose is to scam into a vacation offer/cruise/vacation club, etc
They'll stop for a while, then restart, usually with a new phone number
Scammer computer calling cell phones, as well
They pretend to have an option to be removed from a so-called :"subscriber" list, but I tested it, It's phony.
This last call is proof of that, they changed cloned phone number & faked caller ID
Legal action needs to be taken against them

Aliases:

PACIFICTEL

Just now got a 4th call from 360-529-6901 ! Had enough to look up compliantwire.org. I'm having same hassles as described by both Mike and Chuck.  They've got my land line and one cell.  Hasn't hit other line which belongs to tech savvy IT member of family. Constant calls with same MO-- changing IDs and phone numbers.  YAHOO, PO, Pacific Tel, SURVEY,  Begins at 8:45 a.m. and continues until 9 at night. Sometimes it is a computer calling about a political survey, another time a woman's voice telling me I'd won a vacation cruise.
    Nuisance numbers are:
    360-529-6901 YAHOO
    253-236-2032   ' '

I think these thieving animals are affiliated with the other frauds using 360-474-3926, 253-382-9076 & 253-382-9966.  These may be spoofed or computer-generated numbers used for phony political & other surveys, porno, plus the popular "You won a cruise" game, where they want your credit card number to pay port fees & taxes up front.  If you have won something, you never have to pay fees or taxes up front to anyone.  These creeps will quote say $200 in port fees, which may show up as a $500-1,000 charge on your credit card.  Don't fall for the ruse.  These thieves are showing up on Caller Id as Yahoo, which is a criminal misrepresentation.

If they are a legitimate business, they need to join the human race and leave a message, "Please call us back at ...."  And, they need to properly identify themselves on Caller Id.

Calls from these thieves are another reason to immediately contact your elected reps in DC to completely rewrite the DNC laws, prescribing severe fines and prison sentences for violators. The FTC is useless.  Since this is a major elections year, one can expect increasing numbers of idiotic calls as November approaches, from all kinds of solicitors, liars, firebreathers, nonsensical messages, surveys, etc.  Those wanting contributions will likely pocket the money and disappear.  Even established campaigns can't be trusted - the campaign accounts of one elected rep were recently embezzled of $4.2M, by her supposed long time trusted aides.  We had primary elections in Virginia on March 6th, which was preceded by numerous daily calls from all the phonies and liars.  One day we even got 23 such calls. They even call on Saturdays and Sundays at all hours.  We got a dozen such calls on Easter Sunday, too - it would figure that these godless animals and criminals would not be in church on Easter Sunday. The exemptions for political, charity, telemarketers, surveys, and non-profit related calls, etc. all have to be outlawed and stopped, along with the use of phony numbers. Use of any number not issued by a legitimate telephone company (common carrier) also has to be outlawed.  If a legitimate business, they should be required to have their real identity show up on Caller Id.  Everyone, please contact your reps in DC!  Stop this disturbance of our home peace and waste of cell phone time!
