Sold a debt to someone that isn't our debt

Verizon wireless sold debt to someone that isn't our debt and they are Pennicale and they are ruthless and dishonest as the day is long.  We have a letter form verizon from 2006 when they removed this debt and now in 2012 they sold it with our name all over it.  We are contacting an attorney on Tuesday after the holiday weekend, to make sure this is removed form our credit report.  Lucky for us we have a family member who can do this for us.  Many have no one that can help and they are stuck with debt problems.  Don't you find it odd that we are paying taxes to so many agencies that are suppose to be preventing this and stopping this and we still have to get attorneys. Wed won't be settling for just the 2000 dollars, we are requesting pain and suffering and many other issues like calling before 9:00 in the morning, etc. Don't let this go and don't make debt collection an attorney or business issue to get it off your report.  It seems that the credit bureaus want us now to go through someone to get these things off our report.  Hoppicock...That is just a racket too.  Maybe we alll should go into credit collection.  There's no rules, just get money....
