account payment

I had an account with Truworths in Pretoria Church Street, truworths handed me to Anthony, Richards & Associates, they called me and I made the debit order arrangement with them, they deducted every month until I finish paying. I remember one time I phoned them wanted to know my balance, Mrs Simone Davids told me that my balance was less than what I was suppose to pay, she then said she will change the amount on the debit order, she even said that when I finish paying that month I must phone them so that they can send me a proof of settlement letter, the second week of the following month after finishing paying I received a letter from the same people stating that I am owing the whole amount which I settled with them the previous month (R4276.07). I then went to Truworths to complain, I struggled with the lady who was helping me because it was as if she was afraid to be fired from work, because she kept on saying I must handle my problem with those lawyers, I then said to her how can I handle with the lawyers because truworths is the one who must inform the lawyers that they have received their money. Then the Manager of the store came to help me, and she phoned the lawyers to enquire, they then said it was a mistake, they then said to her that I must ignore the letter and they will send the settlement letter during that week. it was the beginning of February 2015, I kept on following up with the truworths Manager with no results till today I am still waiting for the settlement letter from those lawyers. To my surprise on saterday (18th April 2015) I received a call from the same lawyers saying that I am owing that amount I have stated and they said I must make arrangement for payment.  I am worried because I think these lawyers are taking chances with people, what if it was not me.  I have all the proof that I have settled the account, they even confirmed with the manager of truworths that it was a mistake my account was settled so I want to know how many have they scammed. I NEED HELP, PLEASE.
