Charged for free credit report

We thought we were getting a free credit report online, but 5 days later find 2 charges on my credit card  for 1.00 and 24.95.    Shouldn't the Attorney Generals office be notified?  I'm wondering if they try to bill every month.

    Dispute the unauthorized charge thru your credit card company, and have them change that CC number.  Make sure you send your written dispute within 60 days of receiving your statement showing the unauthorized charge.

    File a complaint with FTC.

    Correction: You want to make sure your bank GETS YOUR DISPUTE within 60 days of the DATE ON THE STATEMENT.
