This is the letter i sent to kay jewelers and no response...
"Hello, my name is Valerie Chriqui. I am writing you because I am extremely annoying by the situation I currently have with Kay Jewelers located in Aventura Mall, current address 19575 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 1345. Aventura, Florida 33180 and their telephone number is (305)937-1533.
I got engaged on October 26th of the current year. The ring my fiancée bought was a little too big and I had to go and ask them to resize it. I went on November 4th 2012 and they told me that on November 14th my ring was going to be back and I could go and pick it up. It has been 2 weeks and I still do not have an answer. We have been calling for the past two weeks asking them what is going on with the ring. The first excuse was that we had to understand that it is a “special ring” and they had to do an extra effort to get it right. The second excuse (days later) was that the machine that they use to fix the ring was broken. The third excuse was that they did not mean to say that the ring was going to be back on November 14th that the correct day was November 20th. Which one was the real one? When we said that we do not know which one to believe, they get offended. They had a pretty bad attitude toward us because we were saying that they were lying. We decided to call somebody superior to those people who kept on telling us lies and we got to talk to KATHY and the telephone number we called was 18008778812 and then 1309. She was a little nicer, and explained to us that Kay Jewelers sold us A BAD RING, a ring that according to them (do not know who “THEM” are) was a bad ring. The patch was wrong, the gold was dry in a wrong way and it had bubbles, and they told us a few more things that we do not know if we should believe it or not. She told us that she would call back. She called back and then said that she does not have a specific date for the ring, and that they are “sorry” and they asked us to please take a gift card. Why would I accept a gift card from you guys? After this I would not like to be your customers any more. I would not like any gift card I would like my money back if we get to choose, but you guys do not let me. They told us that we can change the ring for another one of the same price, but why would I change the ring that my future husband picked for me, because you guys are having a bad time with a bad ring that YOU SOLD does not mean I have to suffer the consequences. However, we are now to the point that we do not cared about the whole material thing, we cared about you guys not telling the truth, besides the fact that we know all of these facts because WE CALLED THEM several times, and they were not even helping and if you have a problem with the product we purchase you should have a little respect for you costumers and give a call and inform us what the problem is.
We called again today and Kathy told us that the ring will be ready next week, without even been sure, she said that she will call back next Monday, therefore I have to wait another whole week without knowing the truth, without any information and of course, without my ring. I had the ring for 1 week; you guys have had the ring for more than 2 weeks. What is the point of using you guys again for future purchases?
I have no choice; we have nothing else to do than to file a complaint to Better Business Bureau. This is clearly a disagreement between your business and me as a customer. We do not have a clear answer and I do not know when I will get my ring back.
Thank you."
