No Refund even after a Month

Hello,

 I applied for an Airtel Broadband connection and paid Rs. 1599/- (Max 75 GB Plan) as the installation fees on 30th August 2011.
I was told after repeated calls from Airtel's distressing customer care that there was no feasibility for a connection to my place.


I asked for the refund on 3rd September 2011(Complaint No: 3536094) and I am very disturbed and perturbed to tell you that I have not received my Refund till date.

I called the customer care last Friday(22nd September) . I was told there was some issue in dispatching my cheque and the complaint is still in open. This I was told when I called. The Airtel people do not even have the decency to call the customer when they cannot keep up their commitment?

The complaint number was 4498046. I was given a commitment time of 29th September 4.10PM. The representative was MELWIN (Interaction Id: f27170262).

But I have not received anyhthing so far. Now whwn I called customer care the representative tells me I will get the money in 15 working days.

What should I do to get my money back? Do they just think that no one is going to sue you over Rs.1599, so they can keep the money for themself?

Is this how they treat the customers?. I must have made over 50 calls to the customer care over this. And moreover I was told that I was called and told by the technical team on 21st September that there was a problem with my process, when in reality I was never contacted by Airtel after I handed over the application.

So are these guys of Airtel just cheating me or Airtel?

If I dont get my money, what should I do?

I will from now, in all possible ways try and tell my friends or anyone I come across not to go for Airtel ever.
