We paid $1200.00 for this TV at the end of December 2006. The screen went completely black the beginning of June 2007. Called for service, it was a week before anyone could come out to look at it.

Once the repairman was here, he said the TV was having major problems and would have to go back to his shop for repair. Three weeks later the repairman said he was still waiting for a decision from Samsung on whether the part needed was available. At that point the repairman filed a report with Samsung saying that the TV should be replaced. I called Samsung after giving them the required amount of time they requested to review the report (5 days), and the Executive Customer Service Representative actually had the nerve to tell me, 'Well, the part they want to replace is expensive, so our technical people have asked them to try some other fixes."

I reminded him that I had already paid for that part already, along with the rest of the Television, and that the repairman had already told me that the set could not be repaired because the part was unavailable. He then agreed to forward the case to the Exchange department.

Now, seven weeks later, I have to wait for someone to call me and offer to send me the same model, or possibly a 2007 model. When I asked about a refund he was quick to tell me that Samsung would not issue a refund, however I could try to get one from the store from which I had purchased the set, even though they are under no obligation to do so.

yes i agree that there is a major problem with samsung when it comes to customer care. i bought a samsung 56' for over 2000.00 in march and only had it for over a good month before it began to mess up. it is almost 4 months later and still have not fixed or replaced my tv..my next step is to seek legal help, do i have a case? i bought the 4 year warranty with the tv but it seems like i can't get a truthful answer out of anyone about a replacement or even fixing my old one....

you should go for the help. THIS BRAND WILL NEVER APOLOGISE FOR THE INCOVENIENCE GIVEN TO YOU BY THEM.SAMSUNG IS ONE OF THE WORST BRAND, I hv had a bitter experience with every samsung product. Now ultimately i hv decided that i'll never throw my money on samsung.
Therefore it is requeested that you have to take some legal against this company, because today's market is customers market.
    GOOD LUCK

I bought a samsung electric range in February 2008. It came with all the goodies, unfortunately that did not include customer service. It was the top of the line product with a ceramic top. The top has since overheated and cracked. I have been without service since THANKSGIVING 2008. The offical response from Sansung is Their Glass Top do not break or crack. I must have abused it or took a hammer to it in order for it to crack. Due to the run arround it has cost me added expense to eat for two months. By the way their warranty is for a year on the stove and 5 years on the glass top. I guess I will just have to get their products out of my house. A company who think so little of their customers do no fit in my future.
