I received an email in regards to a 985.56 loan I owed which I don't even have a loan out for that. They threatened with courthouse, prosecution and the whole nine yards. They also threatened four charges against me  for check fraud, EFT fraud, violation of Federal Banking regulations, and collateral check fraud. They threatened to inform my job, bank, and anyone else in regards to my "fraudulant" behaviour. The phone number I was sent to call back was 1-786-406-6099.

ACA Recovery has long been reported in complaints connected to fraudulent "business directory listing" scams.

They used to show up in shady payday lender debt collection, but that has stopped for the last several years as they have appeared to focus on frauduelnt "business listing" billing scams.

Your number appears in recent complaints reporting this as "ACS", which is a common name used by fake debt collection scammers.

Your complaint is consistent with these usually overseas scam extortion rackets.
Probably not ACA Recovery, although they get no honesty points for it.

Nope - they're still at it. I've already received upwards of 15 calls from a Mr Lopez w/ACA telling me that I owe $420 for a payday loan that I never took out, but they supposedly have the e-signed loan documents. I did a little research and the loan company they claim it is from was put out of business (or at least changed their name) back in 2008. I've asked them to mail me proof of debt and they claim they've sent a letter twice but I haven't received anything. It's been a month. I finally told him to stop contacting me by phone and restrict all communication to written correspondence only (which I am within my rights as a debtor, by law, to request this), he proceeded to curse me and call me a stupid b!tch, and hung up on me. I might also mention that he would get frustrated and hang up on me anytime our verbal exchanges would get heated...then would call me back. I used to get calls every day, sometimes twice...and even though I've asked for him to stop calling, he still calls, but only once a week now. I always just hang up.

Received spam email indicating that I took out a loan.  Named past employers and supposed IP addresses along with a completely incorrect Social stating they were going to have me arrested. And report my behavior to my employer, blah, blah, blah.  I say go ahead.  Because you haven't proved anything.  Your just issuing threats.  Lost a home, job, credit is crap do you really think your judgment will hurt me any further?
