Complaint

I have contacted them by mail and by telephone. They still insist on contacting me about a credit card bill that was originally $360.00 but now they say it is more than $1800.00.

I am now sending a complaint to the federal trade commission about this matter. They attack my credit report twice each month. I am sick of them.

$360 at 24% APR could grow to about $1800 in 8 years.

When was the last payment made?
When did this first go delinquent (missed first payment after which account was never brought current)?
What is your state's SOL for credit card debt?

If you made no payments for more than your state's SOL for this kind of debt, they may be unable to sue you.

If it went delinquent more than 7.5 years ago, it may be illegal for them to report the account on your credit reports.

If they are doing hard pulls (visible inquiries) on your credit report twice a month, but are not reporting any account, they are probably trying to "poison" your credit reports past the 7 year reporting period.  Contact an attorney with experience in consumer debt, FDCPA, and FCRA law.
