Errors after 2 years of use - BOARD Toast

I have always purchased Maytag appliances - that is changing. I bought the 3000 series FL washer. after 2 years; family of 4, it started showing an error message. come to find out it is the main circuit board. it was not covered under warranty, 600. to replace!! I am getting a Samsung next!
