Centennial washer

I was set on getting another Maytag washer after my previous one lasted slightly over 30 years without a hitch.  I purchased the Centennial about 3 years back and have been disappointed.  From time to time, the normal spin cycle at the end is followed by the initial step of water filling into the washer.  So, when the wash cycle ends, my clothes are wet.  When I start the next wash, it doesn't start with the washer filling up with water.  Instead, it starts with the next step.  Very frustrating since I have to stop the washer at the end of the wash to prevent water from filling up.  I've had the computer board changed once and it doesn't help.  Is there a way to reset the board so it works correctly?  Thank you.
