Fraudulent Auto Delivery

I ordered a set of WEN haircare products for 29.99 and was asked to try the VitaPower for $1. I specifically placed a one time order and under no cirmumstances auto delivery. Well I got my product 4 weeks ago and this weekend I was shocked to find that they have charged my bank card $95 plus dollars for more WEN products (which I have no idea what I will be sent) and the vitamins. This has never been authorized. I spent all day Sunday trying to get this cancelled but the banks are closed for Presidents Day. I spoke with the on line banking support and was told there was nothing I could do that the charges would go through. I am furious. I called the customer service office and got an antiquated answering machine. To ensure that this does not happen again I will have to close my bank account and open another one. These charges could not have come at a worse time for me.

The charges may go through, but you can dispute them since they were unauthorized and fraudulent. You dispute checking account charges under FRB Reg. E. Your bank customer service should have told you this.
Immediately contact your bank to dispute fraudulent charges, and close your account due to fraud to prevent additional fraudulent charges. To preserve your dispute rights, follow up with a written dispute or fraud affidavit, sent to the dispute address from your bank statement. Send that written dispute certified, so you have proof of when it hit the mail, since under FRB Reg. E, whether a dispute is timely depends on MAILING DATE not receipt date, in case they "forget" you contacted them earlier by phone. Include in your written dispute the date and number you originally called to report it.
Do NOT use checking accounts, debit cards, or check cards for payments to unknown merchants. Use only credit cards for such purposes. They are a security risk, and harder to cancel than credit cards in cases of fraud, as you have seen.
