No returns allowed Jan. 1st?

I was just in the store, purchased a few things--long lines--waited over 30 mins.  Looking at my receipt after I walked away from register--girl charged wrong price--and I didn't get the additional 50% off.  Went to return and was told they are not doing any returns/exchanges until Jan. 3rd--which could go into the 3 day return limit--lady said yea it might--then you cant return it at all.  Geez--this sale not even worth the hassle.
