well as a ex employee of Iqor canada I will tell the truth about what is going on at this company, everything said on this complaint board is true. they the avp's/managers of Iqor are engaging in illegal unethical practices. they cannot produce any proof of any debt they collect. which is a violation of ministry standards. they also have an extreme verification process whenever they try to contact consumers they must verify either address or date of birth. do not give them your info part of there company is a telemarketing operation which is run from india they collect calling lists for that so beware. I am not just a bitter ex employee I feel sorry for what I have done while in there employ collecting data for telemarketing campaigns so in a way this revelation is for me to clear out the bad karma. for those seeking to work there think twice there policy is to fire- lay off employes within 3 months I lasted 8 months. but during the time I worked there I learned many things which I will share if you collect an amount over 1000.00 you dont get credit for it. it is scooped taken and given to one of there favorites so basically you are a commisioned employee who is working for others not yourself I will be talking to a lawyer about that. they cannot control there avp/managers who are selling various products and substances on the premises. they have recently closed the cambridge location and the way they are losing clients the toronto location will soon follow. do not deal with them do not pay them your payment may go missing even though you paid directly to there trust acct if you have a debt that has been placed there demand they show you proof of the debt if they cannot then demand they remove the bad mark on your credit report deal with the company you owe the money to. as a consumer you have this right. they also use a dialing system to contact consumers that is beyond flawed none of the numbers they call have been verified they are calling cellphones employers everyone but the person they are looking for 3-5 times per day everyday, which is illegal. the head office is in new york and whether or not they are aware of what is going on at this location I do not know. but what I do know is our canadian govt is allowing this so if you get a call from this collection agency force them to do there jobs
do not verify your info
make them show you proof of the debt
if you do actually pay them demand your release letter and demand they update your credit report immediately
remember you as the consumer have all the rights and the power do not let them harass or bully you into paying anything if and when they do bend/break the law here is where you can complain

    The whole time I have worked for that company they refused to pay me for their damn system issues and I ended up quitting and no contact number to get ahold of them to get my ROE from them,,,,here is my number to call me 519-653-5865 email address is cindycouto_86@hotmail.com that company should be shut down due to so many illegal things they do there

    i have tried to contact the company to get my ROE from them and the contact number i had is no longer in service,,519-620-4140 ...they have several Employees working from thier homes making them pay for the highest internet services and more hydro and still pay them the same pay rate,,how is that right,,,system issues still go on and till not get paid When THIER SYSTEM SCREWS UP,,which is not the employees fault ,,,against the law,I WAS  PAST EMLPOYEEE GOT NO BEBEFITS BUT YET SONEONE OFF THE STREET GOT IT IGHT WAY,,HOW IS THAT RIGHT ALSO,,,THAT PLACE IS BEYOND BOGUS,, PLEASE EITHER EMAIL ME OR CALL ME THANKS FOR YOUR TIME,, CINDY COUTO  519-653-5865 Email

    Why dont you reach there Assistant Vice President in Toronto? His name is Nauman Khan & his direct line is 519-620-6388. I heard he is extremely fair/competitive. I got my record of employment in 5 days. I also heard he got a say with in the company and well very connected with big folks in management.

      he was a complete assole who use to degrade his coworkers in front of others and harass them and threaten them and force them to buy lunch for him and buy things for him he was a complete bum who use to claim that his fathers owns a tim hortons but the realty was that he was just a security guard that b*****d himself got fired for sexual harassment he use to talk about his sexual desires for women at the work place and how he wants to f*** them he was a complete [***]

    I worked for Iqor Toronto for last 2 years...I was terminated for no reason! Maybe I am getting paid little more then other employee's in our department..they cut my inbound line to not to hit my target on purposely! employee who are collecting less then me is hitting her/his target with a help of AVP in a big time! If your a new employee or who are planning to join Iqor better learn to kiss AVP's ass very well + need to give them a gifts to secure your job and you won't last long! they will make you go! very bad place to work even if your work honest/hard they don't respect you..every 3 months you will have a review ..even if you have years of experiences you will be worst then a new comer! each review you will meet your AVP's boss and front of AVP's boss your AVP will say "I am glad to have you in my team and your a asset to my team" after anther 3 months same AVP will planning to terminate you! (maybe I am not buying my AVP a gifts or coffees)...!!!

    Get hold of the HR In Minnesota - air your grievences and expose wrong doing, the person your looking to speak with is Kris. She will get involved and all parties will be penalized when wrong doing found no matter what their title is. Always keep a paper trail and be ready to file a complaint with your local ministry of labor.

    The best way to punish iQor is to expose their bigger customers.Those who know where iQor's collections are coming from should post the names of the companies.

    iQor doesn't care about it's image but I bet many of their clients have reputations to protect.

    abused by iqor - and have no debt
    we need to make public where iqor is getting collections from. that will get it in the news. if a major retailer or financial institution is implicated then iqor will suffer. maybe we can keep their executive bonuses to 5 figures per person this year. wouldn't that be tough for them.

    if you know any company who had a debt that iqor tried to collect for then tell us. i have no complaint over honest debt collection and honest mistakes. but iqor is another story.

    My problem is with Iqor, or  I core canada. I have a small debt of 1000 dallors with them. Unfortunately I did not handle a credit card properly when I was young, and did not understand the value of good credit as i do know.
    And as a person said up above, I understand the Idea of collection agencies. nevertheless,
    ....Iqor, A guy called me with a crazy Name, Mr..D..something or other a MIllion times. The first time we spoke, he yelled at me, insulted me, threaten me,...clearly starting off a conversation properly. I even am willing to make payments to them. But apparently it is all or nothing. Then he calls back again, and i have the same issues with his vulgar personality. I request to speak to someone else so I can try to work something out with someone who I can tolerate, and wont provoke anger in me. He refused. I felt like he was treating me like I was on trial for murder. He was absolutely insulting, did not even listen to what i was saying, at all, I offer to try and find the money, to make Payments, to increase the limit of the payments, anyway to work it out. And BLUNTLY NO< and that its all my fault i am in the situation.

    it was honestly, the worst person i ever spoke to in my life. its really discouraging because now I still want to work something out, He says its impossible, and i never want to call there because he is an awful person.

    They are trying to collect on bills already paid, or bills they cannot prove exits.

    This is a huge fraud so PLEASE beware.

    Thanks for the heads up! a friend of mine once worked for icor and they let her go. She told me it was a bad place to work and she got let go even though she was a good collector. i happen to be looking for a job there and i asked her for the information how to apply, she told me don't but due to my financial situation i thought i could still give it a try because i really want to work. However i went ahead and call the office and this gentleman answers and did not identify himself he said who is this calling my company and then he had an attitude i told him i was calling about a job and he gave me a number to call the supervisor i left a msg on the phone then i reallize all of this is a scam i am sorry i left  my name and phone number there. Thank God i found out just in time befor i give them resume and other information......Stay away from iqor!!!

    I was an employee of Iqor for 5 + years before the purge of senior collectors under the control of Jim Shaw
    who was under Vikas Kapoor out of the United States. I always found it funny to read how Vikas was such a
    great guy and a community leader blah blah blah and then hear conference calls where he personally demanded that women on maternity leave were a burden on the Iqor system and he wanted them fired. After being told that is actually illegal here in canada, he completely lost it as if they were willing refusing his demands. The higher you go up the slimier it gets plain and simple. Just before Iqor took over that company was massive and continually broke recovery records on the backs of employees that were treated well and paid very well.
    Iqor came in and it was [***] in seats, they wanted a call center not 3rd party collections so they purged not only their senior collectors but alot of their major bank clients.  All the talk of illegal activities sponsored and demanded by the company are very true. Now they are a company comprised of poorly trained hard to understand, underpayed, employees..Congrats Vikas, your dream came true. Another non profitable center.
