I am employed at a Ross in my hometown. They wrote me up again (making this my third one) for asking off for a funeral of an IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER, which by law is an EXCUSABLE ABSENCE. They told me it was my fault because the schedule was already made and they had to take the time to switch that day with another one that I originally had off. Well I'm sorry that I wasn't planning on someone in my family dying. I will be finding another job soon, and a lawyer considering the fact that I am no longer employed by them for that reason.
