Unprofessional phone calls

I just got called by this company yesterday by my home number looking for me and then on my cell phone. Which my number is not listed?? When I tried to talk to someone to see why they are calling because I have no debt and havent had debt in over 10 years. I wanted to see if they were a collection agency the person on the phone started getting upset and refused to answer my question and hung up on me. I called again to talk to another person a male this time and he refused to tell me if they were a collection agency. Wanted to vertify my information but wasnt willing to tell me if they were a collection agency. I got hung up on 3x by them today. Very unprofessional.
