Somehow this company piggy-backed their "service" on top of some purchase I made and have been charging me $8/mo since October 2014. Because I don't get a paper statement from my account, I did not notice this charge until I was researching dates for a similar company for a fraud claim with my financial institution. This is a classic fraud/scam scenario and people need to really pay attention to their bank accounts when making online or as seen on tv purchases to make sure nobody piggy-backs this scam on to you.
As for the company, I will be reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and the Franchise Tax Board. I hope they fine your [***] to the moon and back.

    It's a cramming scam..
Immediately contact your bank to dispute the charges as fraudulent, and have them block your card number or shut down your account to prevent further charges.  Your bank can reverse charges back 2 to 3 months if you dispute promptly, under FRB Reg. E or FCBA.
For the rest, send Trilegiant a letter demanding the remainder of their fraudulent charges, and file fraud complaints with FTC and your state AG.
Although SOL on suing them for "errors" in charging is 1 year, they have little fear that anyone will actually do this due to the small amounts.  An inquiry from your AG is most likely to shake loose the most money, since they're already on the radar for some state AGs due to getting caught in the past.
