broken 2year old fridge!

Hi this is priscilla Martinez from San Antonio Texas. I have never had to write a letter before and im not even sure who will read it....we are first time home owners and purchased everything whirlpool thinking it was top of the line. Our 2 year old stainless steal refrigerator stopped making ice and the bottom stopped freezing but only cooling July 10th. I paid $85 for a company named sobellas to check our fridge, he told us to call whirlpool because it was a seal system problem which should be covered for 5years. I called whirlpool and the lady told me that our model/seriel number was not covered under that specific warranty even though looking at the warranty paper it does not specify any model or seriel number on it, it said ALL whirlpool refrigerators, needless to say I was told we had to buy warrenty for $350 and it will be covered for 1year and if they could not fix it then our fridge would be replaced so we purchased the warranty. Â whirlpool sent their contractors (I forgot the name of the company) to fix our fridge and they have been out about 9-10 times within the past 3 months. We have had to take so much time off from work with no results and me possibly loosing my job for the amount of time taking off. Our fridge went from making no ice and the freezer not freezing but cooling to the whole fridge completely broken, not cooling at all with an awefull smell coming out of the vent that we ended up having to unplug it. We called whirlpool warranty and explained that we are tired of the process of taking time off for a guy to come between 11am to 2 or 3pm just to say he needs to order a part then wait 1 to 2 weeks to take time off again between 11am to 2 or 3 for them to fix it with no results and ending back to square one. We asked how many times does this have to happen before whirlpool declares our fridge not fixable and us moving forward in getting a new fridge, we have been patient and waiting with no results. We were told that we were misinformed, that there was nothing whirlpool can do at this time other than refunding our warranty money or to continue sending someone out to fix our fridge but that we are not elligable for a new one. The lady who talked with us made us feel as if we were just trying to scheme for a new fridge.....we just want our fridge fixed but its clearly not happening. We spent over $2000 on our stainless steal fridge and never expected it to break this soon...its only 2years old and brand new from the store!! we have no kids so it doesn't get much action for it to break either. We have been going to the store everyday just to cook a meal at night because we are tired of going out to eat we just want our fridge back!!!! please please please please!!! Is there anything you can do for us? We can't afford to buy another new fridge....if there is anything you can do...... We would so greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time, Priscilla Martinez
