To whom it may concern;
On or around the 15 th of August Direct TV’s service man came to our home to install Direct TV.  In so doing he pulled the dresser from the wall which rests on plush carpet in one of our bedrooms and broke the left back leg of the dresser that sits the closest to two adjoining walls, as indicated in the picture submitted to you.  I wondered why the doors of the dresser would not close properly; I thought that maybe the doors had warped.  However, when inspecting the dresser further yesterday I realized that the back leg had been broken.  This is a custom made dresser and cabinet that was made to fit this particular area of the bedroom.    It seems that the service man did not lift the dresser high enough and the leg broke.  It could also have been broken when the installer put the dresser back in place.
After further inspection of the broken leg on the dresser,  the carpenter, cabinet maker who custom made this to fit in this area suggested to replace the side panel of dresser cabinet.   This will eliminate the possibility of future weak points in the piece, and add strength that simply cannot be guaranteed by a simple repair.  The broken panel with the broken leg must be removed and a new panel will have to be cut, and finished before attaching it to the dresser.   The carpenter, cabinet maker has been to the house, to see the damage and estimate what it will cost to restore and replace the leg panel on the left side of the dresser.
