I signed up for local telephone service with Verizon back in April.  They never sent me a bill through mail, email, test message, phone call, voice message -- any medium you can think of, they never sent a bill.  I got annoyed and called them up to ask why, since I didn't want to get a massive bill from a collection agency for months of service.  They told me my account was cancelled and not active.  There will be no billing because that landline on that account # associated with my name and wireless number was not an active account.   Kicker is, the landline phone can still send and receive calls.  I am totally fine with this situation, I captured it all on a screen shot that they insist there is no account for that phone number --- which works --- but doesn't exist.  Sometimes organizational incompetence works out the consumer!
