Suggest you look at systematic violations by NRA and NCS in collecting on old questionable BMG (Columbia House) accounts, many for old "contract termination fees".
FDCPA: systematically billing the wrong person, overshadowing "G" letter (refusing to validate, instead sending the consumer back to BMG, which apparently has shut down its music club business). FCRA: reaging, "verifying" debts billed to the wrong person, accompanied by routinely damaging credit over trivial amounts.
It appears that Columbia House originally did little to obtain identification from new customers, and that these debt collectors are now just guessing who to send bills to while routinely damaging credit. There are also indications that Columbia House, or marketers connected to them, may have generated numerous bogus fraudulent "accounts", about the time they were caught and fined for Do Not Call violations.
