Mcafee has Poor Service, Rip Off!

I been loyal to Mcafee and continuously paying their antivirus services but what a heck, I had problem with my computer caused by viruses and Mcafee was not able to detect and clean it, a free antivirus had helped me with this problem going on since last year. When I finally decided to call their tech support and asked question WHY? My God their tech support representative were just reading their scripts and don't know how to explain the reason behind my problem, just telling me to update my anti virus, what the hell! I told them many times that I updated it always. They will get your money but won’t give you quality service worth your paying them.

McAfee says they will research and remove this problem for $ 39.99.
Does anyone have a clue how to fix this myself ?
After allowing 5 different (Level 2) techs total access to my computer, 7 different removal and re-installations of McAfee, downloading and leaving 8 different exe programs on my desktop, the tech installed a 'beta' McAfee onto my computer. When he finished the BETA installation, all types of alerts and virsus icons flashed all over my computer screen. When I questioned what he was doing, the tech covered my screen, and told me that he was running tests...that was his job, not to worry. I then questioned why he put a BETA McAfee on my computer since apparently the techs aren't testing their Updates before placing them on our computers, and I certainly don't want to the one who has to test their BETA McAfee for them! The tech said ok, he would remove it. When it was removed, I told the tech that I needed to go and shut down my computer.
Today, I tried to call Customer Service in the USA to get a refund and also complain about their terrible tech support. Instead, their listed phone number connects you to McAfee in India. When I questioned them, I was told me that there wasn't a customer service department in the USA. Since I was having a hard time understanding the representative, I hung up and thought I would just write to McAfee. I went to their website to get an address, and while looking over their list of directors, I saw a phone number that I thought was in the USA....tried that number....and reached Customer Service in the Philippines! While the lady was very nice, helpful, and spoke English, I suddenly didn't even care anymore. What has happened to USA technology? If McAfee can not have a Customer Service department that you can understand and located in the USA, then I can save my money and just download Microsoft Security Essential: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
which is now provided by Microsoft and is free!
My advice....do not waste your money on McAfee.
