Legit vs scam? Jury is out

After after researching a missed call on the internet and mixed review saying that it could be legit or it could be a scam I went ahead and answer the phone it was determined that the person on the other line claim to be Macy's claim that my credit card payment was late she wanted a payment I asked her what was do she told me of an amount and then she asked me if I would pay now using a credit card or a check I told her no I would do it online she said I'm not going to do it through the bank or am I going to do it through my Macy's account I told her through the back she said it would take 3 to 5 business days that I want to go ahead and pay it I told her no she said do you want to round it up to an even number I told her no I told her I understand that you all have been calling my phone three and four times a day for the last 4 days the information I got on the Internet is mixed I can't tell if you are legit and so I will be making payments I will be initiating the payments myself she did call me by name
