Well, Just like most people i view my account online today and notice 3 charges all for 1.00 on my bank account. Good thing i caught it before they charge more. I contacted my bank and turns out, My wife ordered something online, whom then turned around and signed her up for some discount places without her consent and knowledge! Gave her Info CC# etc to those places. Think she ordered the tummy tuck belt thing. Anyways I have huntington They dispute returned the 1.00's and If it continues they will cancel her current Debit card and issue another one. So most cases dont have to be crazy to stop those charges!
Heres Some numbers to help Cancel those to(as the read on Account statement) : SEM*budget saver 1-866-9283438, TLG*SHOPPER- 1-800-526-4848, TLG shopper can transfer you to TLG*GREATFN ! Call them and cancel the accounts the signed you up for without your knowing! Good luck

Similar thing happened to me and I never received the services promised. I figured $1 for the service for 1 month was a deal but I never recived the info packets and free gift cards that I was promised. I was able to cancel all three.  The refund for 2 (Great Fun and Budget saver) was easy but I have to fax to Shoppers Advantage to request a refund.  What a PITA and a scam.

The direct # for these scam artists is:  (800)475-1942.  The line item on your bank a/c will read "SEM* Budget Savers.  I just hung up with them & they claim they have cx'd my membership & will refund my $29.95 within 3-5 business days.  Also, the other company that tried to scam me can be contacted at:  (800)526-4848.  Hope this helps!

I had the same problem with Great Fun. Never received anything, lady told me I received it through my e-mail. That is not what the girl told me over the phone. But canceling Great Fun and Budget Saver was easy. And they got my info from a company that I ordered baseball tickets from. I actually signed up for both, but they didn't give me what the promised or offered. Anything that sounds to good to be true, must be. Plus, the girl wouldn't shut up over the phone, so it was worth a buck or two to get her off the phone. Total waste of time.

Have been charged 19.99 for months sometimes twice for product not recieved. I did get product on the initial sign up and then nothing after that. Have tried to unsubscribe many times without success. I'm contemplating closing my longstanding bank acct. which makes me exceptionaly angry. Buyer beware. These folks are getting rich off of the public and not supplying regular product.

Thank you guys for posting this.  I receive the stuff I ordered online today but not with those offers that they had promoted to me.  So I called up their customer service to check up these things and found out they would be shipping to me separately and I needed to call them one by one! Seeing you guys' complaints here, I decided to opt out their membership right away. Just to give another contact number on these companies:
    Bugdet Savers: 800-475-1942; GreatFUN:877-488-9480;  Shoppers Advantage: 800-526-4848
If you have been charged a dollar by these companies, better call them right away to see when they will send their whatever credit card or check to you and what's the deadline to cancel the membership.

Got scammed huge by TLG Shopper.  Discovered today total charges of $155.65 since December of 2012.  I cancelled the day after I signed up and have the cancellation number.

Face it now:  You won't see a cent from these [***].  It's a total scam.  And watch your account like a hawk even after cancelling.  Best bet - go through your card / account provided and ask for their help. Cancel the account or change the card because they will continue to steal from you.

TLG Shopper will get theirs in the end.

I was charged for GreatFun and was very insistent regarding the fact that I did not request this service for 19.95.  We were refunded 6 months back.  We just realized that as soon as we discontinued this service, we were charged for TLG SHOPPER (Shopper's Advantage) for 21.95 and hadn't noticed it for 4 months.  I was given a speil about having been given a $25.00 bank card and must have ordered on an info-mercial.  This we did not do.  Since it occurred immediately after we canceled Great Fun, they said,"fax a statement that we did not request this service and want a full refund".  I informed them that they were performing fraud and asked to speak to a supervisor.  We were disconnected and I called back.  The person was aware of the case before I gave our name and I requested the supervisor.  After explaining the situation again, the supervisor said we would receive the 4 months refund in 7 days.  If we don't, I'll call again.

Regardless, file a fraud dispute through your bank and close your account or block the card number to prevent further fraud.  You already know how they are playing this game, so as long as they have your valid account number, there is nothing to prevent them from waiting a few months and starting to slip through charges again.

Passing you off to another scam when you cancel the first one is THEFT and FRAUD.  Report it as such, to FTC, and your state Attorney General.

They may say you will get a refund in 7 days, but if they don't, they just stretched you 7 days later into running out your 60 day dispute period on your more recent charges. In most cases, they can probably ignore you for another 20 days or so before most people would notice.  That's a whole additional month they get to keep.

I got a statement yesterday in the mail for a charge of $29.95 as well as two (2) $1.00 charges on last month's statement.  I have never received anything from this company and did not, to my knowledge, order anything.  I called SMG Budget Savers and told them I wanted the charge removed, and to be reimbursed for what I paid previously. The gentleman I spoke with, Cody, told me my account was cancelled immediately and that I would receuve a refund within 3-5 business days.  I hope it happens!!!

Hello Judith, I was just reading your complaint about the unauthorised charges you were receiving , and that they promised that it would stop. I was wondering if it did. The reason I am mailing you is because, for the past few months , I have been billed on my bank statement a charge of $29.95 from a company called SEM*BUDGET SAVERS , and I dont know why. I have NEVER ordered anything from them , nor received anything from them ,,,,,EVER. BUT I keep getting billed every month. And NOBODY seems to know who they are, or how to stop it. Please let me know how you fared with your situation. You can call and speak with me if you want to,,,,, I would welcome your advice.

      Thanks, Rick  865-388-3680

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting your problems.  I was just called by my credit card company (Capital)  to verify two $1 charges to my account. No phone number was given (a warning sign).  I had to look up "Bargain Savers" on the internet.  I found you!  Thank you, again .  I notified Capital  - TLG and Bargain Savers had every intention of theft & fraud. You and Capital saved me a lot of grief and aggravation.

I too had a similar experience. I never received the initial package but was charged 29.95. I called the 1800 number listed with the charge (Budget savers) from my credit card statement and was told my membership was cancelled and that my card would be credited within 3-5 days. The promised Walmart $50 gift card was conditional with another "offer" for magazines.

I called and cancelled a few days ago with GreatFun and Budget Savers and got two cancelation numbers and told they would not be debiting my account. Well sure enough I look at my account today and there is a 29.95 charge. I lost the cancelation numbers and the guy on the phone claimed I never called but was eager to refund me in 3-5 business days and cancel my account. We will see if I get my money back.

MAJOR SCAM!!! Ordered Touchpurse on line for my mom --- SHE got called & pressured into membership with Shopper Advantage & GreatFunsite.  I went back to original site & emailed complaint & they sent back a number to call which was for Budget Savers membership!!!  I had to cancel them all & then I called the number to Quality Resources which does original call (866-434-6600 for those that may need it)  I not only complained to rep - she gave me supervisor (probably not really supervisor, but still at least another ear) & I gave them the what for ---- they had pressured my mom into saying yes just to get the rep off the phone.  Again --- MAJOR SCAM, SCAM, SCAM & I told them so.  I will keep eye out on her accounts to make sure no further charges.  Next stop Better Business Bureau.
