I have received two bills for the last two months for 4 books that I never ordered and have never received.  Today I received a delinquent notice that said my "account" has been referred to the Credit Division for collection.  I have sent their notices back stating I did not order anything from them and then the collection notice today.

They're running an order cramming scam..

They have lots of complaints of sending unwanted books to people who never ordered them, along with bills.  It is illegal to send bills for unordered merchandise through the US Mail.  It's a form of mail fraud.

First file fraud complaints with FTC, your state AG, and the US Postal Inspector.

Then send them a letter, referencing the "alleged account" number, notifying them that you did not order their books, did not receive any books, and that since their bills were fraudulent and you see that there are many complaints against them for similar illegal billing, you have filed fraud complaints with FTC, your state AG, and a mail fraud complaint with the US Postal Inspector.  Send your letter AFTER filing the complaints.

It's basically "chicken billing".. replies to File fraud complaints..
It's unlikely that they would be dumb enough to push this much farther, but send your letter mailed certified and save copies of all communications for your records.  They have so many complaints that their practices might interest class action attorneys.
