I requested Directv to be installed in my sisters house. I also had Driectv for over 10 years at the time. She moved and I tried to return her equipment. I was told that it was THEIR POLICY that the return box had to be sent to the original address. I tried to tell them that she had moved, But it was THEIR POLICY and must be done. They would not send it to the address that had the equipment to return. Not very good common sence.The new renters finally gave me the box and I have sent it ti Directv. Now they are charging MY credit card $518. I did not authorize them to use my card. I have cancelled my service with them and recommend other people to do the same. Word of mouth advertising works both ways. Wouldn't it be nice if Directv actually cared enough to read all of these complaints?

    Direct TV has a long history of this type of behavior.  Dispute the charge to your credit card as unauthorized, and file a complaint with your state AG.  In addition, as with all cases where you are getting unauthorized or fraudulent charges to your card, close the card immediately.

    In the future, do not establish services for others, as that potentially muddies your responsibility for their charges.
