hi
unfortunately i view this website very late as i sign a contract with DB mid of august 2009 as at that time the sales person clearly said that the finance dept will not check credit history because beta financing is from direct but and everyone approved for that.they did not took any of my jobs or landlord info but yesterday i received a letter that my financing was approved and i was shocked that they actually checked my credit history which i did not authorized them to do so.i want to purchase a house and now this $5k loan shown in my history.
i read the conversation and call consumer protection office in Alberta but they said that if the contract said cannot cancel in any circumstances than nothing we can do about it. don't know what else i can do to cancel it as this is just a beginning. sales man while signing t he contract said a different story and now what we are hearing its totally different.

What did they claim you were agreeing to?
What exactly did you contract for, the purchase of a bunch of furnishings, or just a "membership" that allowed you to buy at their "special prices"?
What did you get for this "$5K loan"?
