BE CAREFUL WITH TELESALES

Be careful with this company. How they get acceess to one's mobile number tells you all. Be careful when you receive a call from them when they try to sell their product to you.
When the salesperson called and recognised my accent as a foreigner, she took advantage to rush her product on me without making me to understand clearly what was being communicated to me and the commitment involved.I was convinced that the call was coming from my bank as it is my bank that has my number and I was quoted the 1st 4 figures on my Bank card to convince me to complete my identity and to force a product on me, a product that has no relevance for me a foreign student.
£59.99 went out of my account. My request for a refund yielded no results as they claimed a recorded conversation proved my agreement to the transaction; a conversation which had only my responses of many yes' and no's; how on earth can there be no questions from me the prospective buyer a first time contact with such a product? The said recorded conversation was a clear evidence that I did not understand the product and they were not ready to give a refund or even to explain once again to me the product they have pushed down my throat.
Whoever receives such strange calls, no matter how convinced you are ask for a paper description of the product before commitment especially if you are a foreigner.

Doctored and edited recordings are a common fraud tactic with telemarketers. It is common for fraudulent telemarketers fo claim to have a rcording, even to produce a doctored one, and even use it to dispute a chargeback.
Dispute it as fraudulent, since that is what it is. File a police complaint for fraud (fraudulent representation that they were your bank, fraudulent representation of the terms, fraudulent representation that you agreed to it, fraudulently created "recording" played to your bank to defraud you), including bank fraud, and wire fraud. Send your bank a copy of the police report along with a signed notarized affidavit alleging fraud and theft by fraud, and alleging that the reocrding was a forgery.
"The said recorded conversation was a clear evidence that I did not understand the product "
That would mean you did not agree to what they were selling, they knew it, but used the account information they had conned out of you to charge you anyway. They basically admitted to defrauding you, although as you indicated earlier, the whole recording is a forgery anyway.
Block that account number due to fraud, or they will take more money.
NEVER assume a call from your bank is actually from your bank, regardless of what they say. ALWAYS call back to a number from your card or statement, never to any number given by an unknown caller or caller id.
Real bank employees will never object to you saying you will call their number directly. They know the risk of fraud from phishing.
Anyone insisting that there is a need to act or decide something immediately is probably a crook.
IT IS MOST EMBARASSING TO ADMIT TO BEING TAKEN IN AS I DO NOT CONSIDER MYSELF GULLIBLE.
BRIEFLY, I WAS TOLD THEY HAD DETAILS OF A PPI I HAD BEEN MIS-SOLD AND WOULD REQUIRE £59..99 FEE TO RECOVER THE £3OO TO £800 WE WERE ENTITLED TO. SHE SAID THE FEE WAS CHARGEABLE TO THE ORGANISATION WHO`D MIS-SOLD THE POLICY. SHE ALSO SAID BANK DETAILS WERE NECESSARY TO ALLOW THE REPAYMENT TO BE PAID DIRECTLY INTO MY BANK.
OTHER DETAILS OF THE CONVERSATION LARGELY MIRROR COMMENTS FROM OTHER COMPLAINANTS.
I HAVE SENT A LETTER, TOGETHER WITH THE WORTHLESS D.I.Y PACK SENT TO US, DIRECTLY TO THE DIRECTOR OF THE COMPANY ASKING FOR A COPY OF THE ACTUAL RECORDING, NOT A TRANSCRIPT, AND AWAIT RESULTS.
FOR THE BENEFIT OF OTHERS WISHING TO TAKE SIMILAR ACTIONS HERE IS THE ADDRESS AND NAME OF THE DIRECTOR. DAVID GLYNN HAWORTH, 15 CAUNCE ST, BLACKPOOL. FY13DT. GOOD LUCK!!!!
Although there are complaints of American banks telling their customers this, it does not comply with American law, which allows disputing unauthorized charges to either checking accounts (under FRB Reg. E for electronic transfers), or credit cards (under FCBA). Both MasterCard and VISA have additional dispute policies covering unauthorized charges.
What protections do you have against telemarketing fraud under British law?
Do not trust what your bank says, as they may either not know the law, or have an interest in conflict with restoring your money.
Do not trust what anyone says who has just conned you, as you already know they cannot be trusted.
Check with regulatory authorities or law enforcement.

What you are describing fits a common fraudulent practice of "reloading" by contacting prior fraud victims to get more money out of them through the excuse of getting their money back.
As for asking for a recording, when you are dealing with crooks, they will either string you along with promises until any dispute period has passed, or any recordings produced with be edited, doctored, or otherwise fabricated. Claiming to have, or even producing, a "recording" proves nothing.

If you register and continue to receive unsolicited calls you can complain about the company.

I got a letter from TSP demanding a cheque for £59.99 saying I disputed a legal transaction, or threatening legal action.
I wrote to Blackpool Trading Standards and BBC Watchdog!
