ABUSIVE PRACTICES!!!

Hi, I'm from California and the past year began to deal with CPS (Consumer Portfolio Practices). My original loan was with Fireside Bank which I was told by CPS that Fireside went bankrupt and they ended up with the contract. So I began to deal with them. First they offered me a pay off my original balance left from Fireside was 1500.00. They offered me 1200.00 within 10 days I got the money together and called them with the payment. They said that the payoff was canceled due to an insufficient check which Fireside forward to them. Which I don't recall giving an checks to Fireside. So they said that I now owed them 1600.00 all the fees interest charge and don't know what else so I begin to pay them if I was late 1 day they called my husband at work several times after being asked by us not to do it. One day they gave my husband's brother all the information on the account and what was due at the beginning not really telling him we only at that point only owed 900.00 it was embarrassing for me my husband thought I wasn't paying the bill which caused several fights between us. His family knew of the situation which just fueled it more by making my husband believed it was not being paid so sad. Well I managed to come up with the money after being threatened that my car was going to be repo.... They even said one time "Mrs. Gissell are calling cause your car is gone? Well I can't do anything for you anymore...."
My car was not repo that was their way of threatening me then I had a manager call me and yell at me saying you Californians thinks you can do anything. I will continue to call you morning and night I will find you, I will take your car away, I will come to your house personally and embarrass you in front of your family. Yeah well done paying it but still can't get over the harassment and threats. I feel sorry for the people dealing with them.
