I have asked over and over for your company to stop calling and asking for my son who has passed away 3 1/2 years ago  plus he or anyone else in my family never owned the cars you call about... I will be contacting my lawyer if i get other call ..How dare you bring up all the hurt i have been going through  stop calling me !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Could be an outright scam..
    Although it might be normal for some debt collector to contact family shortly after someone dies, 3 1/2 years later puts it into the category of sleazy bottom feeders, some of which engage in outright fraud, collecting fake "debt".  The fact that you know your son had no connection to alleged cars (presumably they're claiming some "deficiency on a loan", maybe following a "repo"), further suggests fraud.
    If they failed to send an FDCPA "g" letter after first contact, notifying you of the alleged debt, that too is an FDCPA violation, and a fraud indicator.
    If you're telling them to cease calling you ("cease communications") yet they continue to harass you, that's an FDCPA violation, and another fraud indicator.
    Maybe they're playing a variation of the "bible scam" from Paper Moon, using obituaries as sucker lists for harassing family.
    You get up to 3 or more fraud indicators, and that's probably what you're dealing with.

    "Company" name?  Caller name (probable alias)?
    What phone number(s) do they call from?
