I am receiving NONSTOP calls from 213-537-1438 AND 213-537-1439.

These calls are coming in at all hours of the day AND night, so I'm pretty sure they are using an automated system. They NEVER leave a message and they ALWAYS hang up. Even if I do answer, they still hang up on me instantly.

As I have elderly sick family and my wife travels for work, I CANNOT just turn my phone off, as some people have suggested.

I have since decided NOT to answer them any longer and have saved the number(s) into my cell phone under "TM # - Do NOT Answer!" (Where # would be TM1, TM2, etc.)

I have also set the Ringer Option (Ringer ID on Motorola Phones) in my Cell phone for these numbers to SILENT, so I won't be bothered with calls from them again.

I have started doing this with ALL of the TM numbers that I receive calls from as well, as it has saved me a lot of time from wondering just who the hell is calling me at 3 AM CST.

As my Cell number IS listed on the FTC's Do-Not-Call list, I WILL be reporting these calls as Ongoing Disturbance/Nuisance Calls immediately.

I am NOT subscribed to ANY of the magazines that anyone has mentioned on other websites (800notes, whocallsme, whocalled.us, etc) nor would I, after seeing their bad business practices. So, I have NO clue why in the hell they would continue to keep calling me over and over, including AFTER 9PM and BEFORE 8AM CST (which is illegal), just to hang up on me. If they wanted me to Subscribe or Renew a magazine from them, wouldn't they want to actually speak with me?

Stupidity reigns supreme in our society these days...

RONIN-thanks to your posting, I didn't waste my time answering the call from 213.537.1439. I've gotten in the habit of checking numbers from my caller id at work. I immediately type it in to google to see who it is. My work phone doesn't show company and or a person's name. I have repeatedly gotten this number over the last week. Thank you for your posting.

Did they stop calling you? I am at my wits end...no idea how they got my number. They are rude and nasty when I ask them to stop calling.

It is to renew magazine subscriptions.  I actually went through the process to renew the mag, and they STILL called back 5 min later!

Well, I'm STILL receiving ongoing calls from 213-537-1438 & 213-537-1439 and every time they hang up & never leave a message. As with other Telemarketer numbers, I do NOT answer them any longer & have saved the numbers into my cell phone under "TELEMARKETER#-Do NOT Answer" (Where # is a 1, 2, 3, etc) & chose a Silent Ring for them, so it doesn't ring & wake me up or bother me. I have done the same with past numbers as well, as this has saved me a lot of time & trouble wondering who the hell is calling me at 3 AM! These calls are coming in at all hours of the day & night, so I'm guessing it's an automated system. As my cell number is listed on the Do-Not-Call list, I WILL be reporting these ongoing disturbance calls immediately to the FCC. Also, the owner of this number is Spark Marketing, Jonathan Adler, Adler Enterprises, 8001 Irvine Center Drive, 4th Floor, Irvine, CA 92618 Tel # 949-754-3044, Fax # 949-754-4441, Mobile # 818-219-9205, and his email is: jon.adler@sparkcallcenter.com / This LANDLINE number is issued by TCAST COMMUNICATIONS, INC., Location: LSAN DA 01, CA area. But... their call centers are located in the Phillipines. Oh, and if you do decide to answer, just scream "Putang-ina-mo, Bak-la Ung-goy!" really loudly, then hang up. :-P

It is a scam....they claim to offer free magazine subscriptions but watch out....soon your phone bill will have a charge you didn't authorize....

Ok. Well Ronin the reason they are not leaving any messages, is because they are not allowed to.. Simple as that. Hollywood, there is no connection between the free magazine and your phone bill i guarantee you.. Outsource call centers use Voice Over The Internet Phone lines. And Ronin, screaming at them won't help either.. Far as i know, all calls are being recorded.. So imagine the outcry of other minority groups, if the heard you screaming to one of their own, that he is a " Gay Monkey, Whose Mom is a [***]".. Yikes...
People... think before reacting.... tsk tsk tsk

You know what, if you buy the beatles magical mystery tour and you put in backwards the cover in the say beatles, the phone number you mentionent is the same... Kind of weird you don't think

That's the exact same number from the whole "Paul is dead" Beatle hoax. It's from the cover of the album Magical Mystery Tour. Apparently, when you call that number, a burial company, old woman, or Billy Shears answers. If Billy Shears answers, he supposedly asks you a series of Beatles trivia. If you get it right, he says you won tickets to "Pepperland."
There's an urban legend that three college kids did it and they got a letter. The letter had instructed to lick the stamp, and after one of them did, it had been laced with LSD, so he died from jumping out the window. The second one said he'd already gone to Pepperland and he was going again. The third one just laughed when he was questioned. What weird is that number is supposed to be disconnected now, but I don't know. 0.o
