Extra charges

I paid Rental Cars from London for a 49 day rental via Thrifty, a one way rental from Denver to San Francisco to see the solar eclipse. I paid for everything except the $500 one way fee. At the Denver airport desk the agent added insurance without informing me and I got scammed for $1000 extra. Rental Cars blamed me for signing. I got a $500 refund from Thrifty after a month of chasing. Don't rent from Dollar or Thrifty. This was my 17th eclipse and the first I've been scammed. Good old USA. Luckily there are no more totalities only visible in the US.
