I joined weight watchers online in Feb. 2011,I signed up for 3 months of service,I did not like the way it worked so I did not sign up for any further services after the 3 monthes I had consented to pay for were over.I just realized that for over a year now I had been being charged $17.95,and this month, because of weight watchers charges,I was overdrawn on my account and subsequently charged penalties from my bank for insufficient funds.I called headquarters who informed me of the "policy" and would only refund me this month and last months charges.I am completely disgusted and outraged,I was an advocate for weight watches,I lost 70lbs with them 5 years ago,I liked going to meetings personally, and talking with others and the staff, and it felt great to be with people who were going through the same thing I was,and that's why online did not work for me,I needed the personal aspect of the meetings. Now I feel betrayed, lied to and taken advantage of by a business I thought wasn't in it for the money, but for the people it assisted,But I now know weight watchers is as deceitful and money hungry as any other company, the fact that the policy was vertually hidden, and required no verification from the client is disgusting, and not even sending a monthly statement to say "hey, got you're payment this month thanks" only proves that this is intentionally done to see how much money it can get from a person before they notice.Shame on you Weight Watchers, you have become so Big,and have all you're high dollar celebrity endorsers, that you have forgotten about all the little people who made this company what it is today.I will never set foot in another weight watcher facility, nor will anyone I know if I can help it.
