I recieved a call from Josh employee #159.  He told me that GMI enterprise (aka Government Morgage Insurance LLC, Government Morgage Insurance Enterprise, GMI LLC, GMI enterprise LLC) is looking to sub contract people to work at home doing refunds for regular homeowners who have paid off their HUD/FHA mortgage loans early and that they are fully aware someone will be calling to collect the info, process and mail it to the governement.  I checked into that and according to many other websites, many people have money owed back to them and dont know it.  You would have to talk them into it....anyways that besides the point i guess.
So in theory, YOU pay a one time fee of 69.00 and they mail you a packet and disc with all the forms you will need.  The government then sends you a paper with front and back of peoples names and contact info.  1 refund will get you from $400-$800.00 depending on how much the refund is for.  I asked why he didnt do it and he said they have to sign a waiver when they get started so they cant quit and do the refunding...this is wierd in itself because if GMI just used the people calling me to call the people needing a refund it would help...hmm...Anyways, "josh" also told me to check with the Better Business Bureau to see its legit.  Of course I did and it was NOT AN ACCREDITED BUSINESS WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.  This is what the BBB had to say, "In response to growing concerns about an industry that regularly tops the list of types of businesses generating the most inquiries to Better Business Bureaus, the Bureaus in cooperation with the United States Postal Inspection Service, conducted "Operation Job Fraud." Bureaus shopped and investigated more than 100 work-at-home companies. The results of the investigation continues to support evidence that little or no money is made. In fact, more money is paid up-front than will be made doing the advertised work. Work-at-home deals are "too good to be true."
Before I got off the phone with GMI, I asked for a phone number to call "josh" back, he gave me 971-285-3130 (159 employee number to get back to him). After I did my research and realized this is HANDS DOWN A FRAUD, I thought I would call back and inform josh since he seemed sweet and unknowing...like he was new to the company...BUT thats when I discovered:

1. it's a recorded message about how to start up by paying your 69.00 for your packet...yadda yadda

2. an extention number is worthless for reaching someone and it just starts the whole message over again...which at the end you push the number 1 and wait for the next operator

3. No one that answers the phones knows if this is a scam or not...I talked to 5 people that "work for the company" (I had to call back 5 times...they dont transfer and theres no supervisor) and none of them were helpful. They all read off the same script.  When I asked one bitchy lady why she would keep working for way less than $400-$800 a day (if you only processed one claim a day) she got flustered and told me she was sorry I felt the way I did and that's pretty much her response to everything...although I have to admit that I had a blast badgering the reps and not a single one could handle it...they were all rude (accept the first guy josh), unknowledgeable about what they were selling and didn't seem to care that they were scamming people.

4. the company seems to have been started in september 2007  but at least one rep told me it had been 4 years

5. hello...SCAM ALERT FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scams don't have to make sense to those who stop and think about them.  Those are not the ones they can succeed at conning anyway.  All "reasons", "excuses", or other "blowing smoke" are aimed at closing the "deal" and getting money (via account information) from those who are gullible enough to be conned.  With each person they call, it will either work or not, either way, they just move on to the next sucker.

That is how the "math" works.

I just got off the phone with one the GMI Enterprise Representatives #158. I am glad I checked this I was not going to pay one of my bills to pay these people for some kind of job opportunity! Thank you for having put this information out for others to see. God knows I don't have the money to pay for a scam (does anyone)!

thank you.  this was helpful as I googled GMI Enterprises.  i received a call from them today.  i was given the same phone number in portland.  i didn't even try.  i first tried to get a vendor list from the government to see if they were a legitimate vendor for the US govt.

if they are refunding fha loans, it seems we could just notify the fha...

I just received a call yesterday.  After reviewing the GMI sight and then reviewing the FHA/HUD sight for listings I noticed that it is quite expensive for one state listing.  What would you actually get for $69.00 and how difficult would it be getting people to give you personal information and payment?  That is asking for a whole lot of trust.  I asked myself would I trust someone's letter mailed to me?  I would contact FHA and research myself without a third party. Though if I did get payment for the refund it would be thanks to the Tracer who gave me the lead and never got paid!  My time is too precious to  take on that type of "selling people".  In theory these people deserve to get their money!
